If you’re worried about booking your holiday amid all the news reports surrounding the Corona virus, you’re not alone. We are with you and we would like to send you a message of calmness, so you can book your holiday with total confidence with our new flexible Booking & Cancellation Conditions
Booking a Property is very different from booking a regular hotel room or a package holiday, especially with regards to payments and cancellations,
In order to address the understandable concern and uncertainty caused by the Corona virus, and to provide some re-assurance to our guests who have already booked, or are considering booking, we have adjusted our standard Terms & Conditions .
Existing Bookings for all guests whose travel is prevented or seriously disrupted by the Corona virus and have a check-in date on or before June 30, 2020
If you are not covered by travel insurance, we will endeavour to convert your booking to a Credit Note which will allow you to re-book the same Villa or Apartment, within 12 months of your original booking.
In these times of uncertainty it’s reassuring to know there’s some flexibility if the worse happens.
To benefit from the free cancellation up to 4 weeks before check-in we would require a reservation deposit of £115.50 GBP deposit which includes £15.50 GBP booking fee to confirm your dates and booking, 20% of the total rental charge payable within 4 weeks from the date of booking, the balance of the rental cost is then payable 8 weeks before arrival together with advertised refundable damage deposit
Should your booking be cancelled by us or the accommodation owner, or if you need to cancel your booking because the government public health measures means that it is unlawful to travel and/or make use of the accommodation you have booked with us then you will be entitled to transfer all monies paid to a later date. If the alternative date is more expensive then the difference in cost will be payable and if it is cheaper, the accommodation credit will remain on account subject to the booking/arrival dates stated below.
You will need to cancel with us as soon as possible and we will require proof of circumstances e.g. in the case of a positive COVID-19 test, we will require a copy of the test result before we can action the credit or refund
Unless the cancellation is caused by Force-Majeure Covid-19 related, it is agreed between us that should you wish to cancel all or any part of your booking, or that the booking is cancelled by us due to non-payment, then we shall be entitled to the following percentage of the holiday cost:
If no official governmental notices such as "do not travel" or "avoid all non essential travel" are in place at the time of your departure but you wish to cancel your holiday with us due to concerns about Coronavirus, unfortunately we will not be able to reschedule your booking and our normal cancellation policy will apply. Again, in this situation, we would recommend you first contact your travel insurance provider.
a. 4 weeks or more before your arrival date = 100 % (non-refundable reservation deposits)
b. If a cancellation occurs within the 4 weeks prior to arrival, any funds paid (deposit or balance etc ) are non-refundable
c. All cancellations must be sent to us by email by the digital signatory of the booking form. Security damage deposit will be fully refunded.
If you cancel the flights, it is unlikely you will recoup the money from the airline as they generally only issue refunds to trips that they have cancelled themselves.
Luckily you have travel insurance but it can also be the case your insurer might not pay out, as not choosing to head abroad when your flights are still available is known as disinclination to travel which in nearly every case is not covered.
However, as it is not recommended to travel to Spain unless it is essential, your travel insurance should cover you if you have Coronavirus-related cover as part of your policy and you took the insurance out before any official advice against travel to that country was issued.
***Please also note that we have to apply an administration fee of £ 40.00 for more than one date change. The first change is free but anything subsequent is £ 40.00 GBP per change. Thank you***
Force-Majeure Covid-19 related applies when any type of government restriction prevents or forbids you from reaching the destination where you booked your villa or apartment holiday with us. This includes but is not limited to: in or outbound countries closed borders, in or outbound countries quarantine restrictions, in or outbound countries complete flights bans or flights cancelled
You must take out a policy of insurance in order to cover you and your party against the cost of cancellation by you; the cost of assistance (including repatriation) in the event of accident or illness; loss of baggage and money; and other expenses. Failure to disclose relevant information will affect your insurance. If you fail to travel with adequate insurance cover we will not be liable for any losses in respect of which insurance cover would otherwise have been available.
